If prophet mohammad(PBUH) married more than 1 wife to help poverty orphans woman to help them why do men today?

why do men today marry woman who are well off and dont have orphan childen clearly than they are marrying for lust,claerly than the quraan cannot approve such a thing because it creates anger between husband and wife and it makes islam look barbaric.however if muslim men can follow polygamy to help orphans woman in poverty the religion looks so beautiful and the way of prophet mohammad(PBUH) will look beautiful to non-muslims.i visited mecca for the first time and i was amazed to see soo many woman begging in the streets and in islamic coutries they dont allow woman to work,and the arab men there when i was speaking to this saudi girl she says men there marry more then 1 wife and marry rich beautiful arab woman instead of the woman begging in the street.how were those woman who beg suppose to ever look after there kids then if they not allowed to work on top of that its disgusting i think how they oppress woman in mecca.when i buy underwear i must ask a man for my size g-string,why cant they rather put woman who need to work to hepl there families in womans shops? its disgusting for a muslim country how anti islamic they are
