How do you get over addicting women?

I really hate emotional high school drama, and this is pretty much it, but I'm just curious if anyone else has this problem too. Basically there's a girl that a bunch of guys like and she's even been called nic (nicotene) because of her addicting powers. She's not that great looking, but has an addicting personality! I recently asked her to our homecomming dance, and she said no as in a half rejection, half good excuse. I've told everyone that I'm over her, but they don't believe me (and they're right). We always talk and stuff, and I know that she only wants to be friends, yet I still harbor a slight dilusional hope. I'm frankly kinda sick of it and was wondering how you'd get rid of that kind of addiction? For nicotene there's a patch, gum, ect..what's there for women?
