What does the Catholic religion say about the practice/reasoning of Euthanasia?

What does the Catholic sacred texts (eg, the bible) say about Euthanasia? Is it ok to practice, is it not? Why is it ok/not ok to practice it? And also what are your personal opinions on this issue?
