DivX Problems?

I downloaded DivX player, and i have a mac. it downloaded good, but when i try to install it, it comes up on a page that says "Click Install to perform a basic installation of this software package on the volume Macintosh HD" so i press install, and then it says " you cannot continue. there is nothing to install". what the heck does that mean? i am installing DivX, but then suddenly, im not? HELP please. i really need to figure this out.
